1951, the Niesky wagon factory delivered 250 of these wagons, named as type Vtu, to the ČSD as an export order.
The open car, developed by the LOWA design office, was structurally based on the type Omm Klagenfurt, but is 900 millimeters shorter.
Following the export delivery, the Deutsche Reichsbahn also received approximately 250 wagons.

In the 1960s, some of the cars underwent a complete overhaul.
During this process, the wooden side panels were replaced with welded-in sheet metal.
Extensive completion of the traction conversion to diesel and electrical locomotive operation. Application of internationally agreed vehicle markings. New colour concepts for the rolling stock fleet.
When this product comes to the end of its useful life, you may not dispose of it in the ordinary domestic waste but must take it to your local collection point for recycling electrical and electronic equipment.
