TILLIG Modellbahnen GmbH & Co. KG
Model railway · Track systems · Accessories
  • In 1991 Hans-Jürgen Tillig took over the firm Pilz-Modellgleis which produced the Pilz H0 track system. The firm then developed the TT advanced track system (12mm) and became one of the most important suppliers to the Berliner-TT-Bahnen company (BTTB).
  • After the bankruptcy of the company BTTB Hans-Jürgen Tillig took over parts of BTTB and relocated them to the factory at Sebnitz. Thus TILLIG Modellbahnen GmbH & Co. KG was founded.
  • Tremendous investment into tooling, machines and software followed this move allowing the company to become self sufficient in construction, toolmaking, injection moulding and printing. With modern CAD technology and CNC machines, tools are now made within a hundredth of a millimetre.
  • Most of our assembly of locomotives, carriages, wagons and track is handmade. Up to 160 component parts are needed for a complex steam locomotive and, before leaving our factory, are assembled by very experienced employees.
  • Our range includes more than 150 locomotives and over 200 wagons in TT scale (1:120), which are mostly replicas of European railways. For beginners, we have an easy setup starter track system which can be expanded and integrated to become, over time, a very advanced layout.
  • For track H0 (1:87 scale) we offer an extensive range of locomotives, carriages and wagons. This range complements our Elite track system, the most modern and technically advanced production track system available, being suitable for British 00 and American H0.
  • Apart from Germany we also sell to most European countries as well as America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and China.
  • TILLIG Modellbahnen is a member of the "WirtschaftsINitiative Sächsische Schweiz e. V." (WIN).
